JAF Wood Creations
James Faherty is a local woodturner from Blue Springs, MO. He was self-taught until 1985 when he attended his first wood turning class in Vermont, studying under Russ Zimmerman. Since then, he has attended several week-long classes in Provo, UT, perfecting his technique from greats, such as Kip Christensen, Jimmy Clewes and Mike Mahoney. He has also attended The John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. Jim is a member of the Kansas City Woodturners and the American Association of Woodturners. He specializes in wood bowls and platters, but also has some unique creations in turned plastic pens, egg kaleidoscopes and segmented bowls. He can also create custom works of art if you have something special in mind.
